Wednesday, September 28, 2005 Today I was still really out of it....well I was catching up on GSeed D last night until 4am =P but anyways didn't matter, After class I went to the ACF and it was really really good cause the message was soo powerful and passionate! well we had this ice breaker then some singing and the message was insanely good and first time in a long time that i was awake for the entire message!, but anyways the speaker was Matt from Youth on the Hill and his message had soo much stuff! I dunno if I can recall it all, but I'll try my best. Starts in Acts 17:16-23? I think talking about how Paul was heartbroken to see how everyone in athens was idol worship and such...He was making a comparason on how UT is like Athens were everyone is there to attain knowledge and get a degree and what not, and how we're all focused on marks, getting the degree, getting the right job to make the money etc...he was saying how us chinese ppl have it brought down on us from tradition you gotta be a lawyer, doctor, accountant etc..right? well these things aren't worth that much in the end, cause our real purpose it to be a light to this dark world full of social status and grades. That we should be like Paul within UT that has that burning desire to tell everyone abotu God cause thats all you really need, and everything will fall into place. He was talking about how society proposes all these ways to make life better, by having more doctors for health care and more shelters for the homeless etc... the list goes on..but what ppl really need in the TRUTH something tangiable...he goes onto how to spread the word of God and how we all have these "coffee houses" and outreach programs to get ppl come to church, it's all useless! cause ppl want the Truth and it's God that everyone seeks, they want too know about God, but if we set up some coffee house or entertaining outreach program, that non-believer could have jsut gone to the club or arcade instead of us trying to entertain them into coming to church. People want to seek the truth and he had two stories to make this more understandable. One: You know when people get really depressed and down in the dumps they like to cut themselves cause it makes them feel better, well deep down in the heart what they need is God, cause Jesus already shed his blood for ALL of us and we need not to cut ourselves right? they need the blood of Jesus to make them feel better. Two: He was preaching at a homeless shelter downtown and there was this acloholic homeless guy who was really inspired by this message and at the end asked Matt for a tangiable and he prayed with this man, gave him his own Bible and after the prayer the man didn't have an urge for aclohol anymore and went away and never seen him since...but this is what people want a tangible truth of God and how God can change their lives as he has changed ours. I know I'm all over the place, but another point that he brought up was we shouldn't be ashamed of our faith cause we know where we are goign when we die, we have Purpose! to serve him and we should stick him as our #1 proirity. The rest of the world should be a shame of the war, and voilence and all the other crap that they do...he also mentioned for homosexuals "hate the sin, love the person" Soo all in all a LOT of stuff to take in, and this is soo far what I remembered but it was a lotta a good stuff, ask Bernard he was there too...ummm he challenged us to put God as our priority and if we have to drop a course to make more time for him then do it, and to spread the Truth to everyone and give them something tangible, a life turning point (A TSN life Turning Point! =P) but man was the message insane, and the way he delievered it was soo powerful and full of passion ahhhh the message hit me like a brick wall. Today was the Rolling Stones Concert and it was INSANE!!! i had to get there by 12:30 to count the inventory then bring it all up and display and price tag them all. I Finally! FINALLY got to drive the golf cart up! =D teehee but it was the gas powered one, but still fun! haha! I was working with the Store manager and a lady from the Mail Order Department, both mother age since the Store Manager was the mother of my co-worker=P and man were they funny! ahaha they were like high, but didn't have any beer or drugs they didn't need it! prue entertainment with dirty jokes and weird fashion statements about the merchandise ahaha. Well while one of them was changing into uniform and the Store Manager had to run to her store to close it, I was alone!!!! when the doors opened =O i'm like uh OH! and i was swamped within mins.! lucky she came out from changing and was =O and ran over to help me hehe we worked non-stop we had a lil break, but that was to re-setup everything since we were horded by lots of customers!! and I was trying to eat a Oh Henry Bar it took FOREVER!, one bite, customer, customer, bute, customer etc...let me EAT something! argh! ppl =.=" anyways during the peak time of selling this jackass was yelling chinese at me to get my attention and was being all rude and crap, soo i just plain ignored him and refuse to serve him, I was pretty pissed! and those ppl that wanna see the t-shirt BUT it's clear hanging on the wall with both sides showing still make me go get the SAME t-shirt on display, I wanted to slap her!! OMGOSH and those ppl that take forever to decide what they want when there are 10 other customers around them with money in their hand yelling exactly what they wanted AHHH INSANITY! after all that we went down to count the money and man I haven't seen that much money in my life just sitting in front of me like that and having to count it all! like 16,000 plus in cash in front of me =O but other ppl had a hella a lot more =O it was 2am ish and I had to find a taxi to drive me home, and usually i just plain hate taxi drivers when i'm driving, but they're life savers when you get off work 2am ish aha we saw this other Taxi run a red light and almost got into an accident =P anyways it's almost 4am and i think i need a shower! i'm out \| dreamt by Matt on 9/27/2005 02:39:00 a.m.

Ahhhh why that crap am I bloggin....anyways Today had to wake up on my own =O since both my parents were out early and I luckily got outta bed in time to run outta the house and catch a streetcar to the subway. I got to Spadina and had to wait 3 streetcars before the right one came, darn those "King" streecars once i had 9!! pass by before the right streetcar could take me to work Grrrrrr. Anyways got to the Subway near work and took out a 12inch sub is 9 mins flat and rushed over to work. Today was the Rolling Stones Concert and it was INSANE!!! i had to get there by 12:30 to count the inventory then bring it all up and display and price tag them all. I Finally!
